Thursday 29th August 15 miles

Meet at airport at 05:00 in Wetherspoons bar. Ryanair flight is at 06:30. Fly to Poznan arriving 09:50. Drop off bags at Rosemary’s Hostel near to the city cente. Bikes are included in cost of stay. Cycle round town and visit the museum of armaments with T34 tanks, Katyusha rocket launchers, artillery etc etc. Eat in town square.

Friday 30th August 27 miles

Cycle to Mosina, the oak forest at Rogalin and then to Kornik castle. Train home 14:52 or 17:00.. Eat in Taj Indian restaurant tonight.

Saturday 31st August 35 miles

longer cycle to Gniezno where Poland was formed. Three brothers from three tribes met by the lakeside and agreed on the nation of Poland. Eat in Pietrak Train at 15:50 or 16:27

Sunday 1st September 25 miles

Lakes cycle. Eat at Regatta Hotel – 4 star food for cheap prices. Possible football game – Lech Poznan – the best supported Polish team play Zawisza Bydgoszcz starts at 18:00. 20 zloty. Eat Argentinian steak in the Piano Bar

Monday 2nd September 15 miles

cycle round Poznan for 30 miles or shorter route round lake Malta. Plane at 18:25 arrives Edinburgh 19:50
